What makes AI-generated strategy code actually usable?
general-discussion
Generating strategy code is easy.
Generating strategy code that matches the trader's intent is much harder.
For example:
“Enter when EMA20 crosses EMA50, but only if RSI < 60, with a 2× ATR stop.”

An AI can create that quickly, but I think the useful evaluation is:
- Did it interpret the entry exactly?
- Does the stop update correctly?
- Is there hidden lookahead?
- Are alerts consistent with strategy entries?
- Can the code be modified without breaking the logic?
I'm curious what algorithm developers here consider the biggest weakness of AI-generated trading code today.
